I love Halloween for its aesthetic value. It is the only kind of over-the-top consumerist crap I can tolerate, for the sole superficial reason of looking good. Dark clothes, excessive makeup, ghost, skeletons and other supernatural creatures, looking like a modern witch, bats and spiders and black cats, that stuff. And I'm obviously also fond of the season-appropriate sweets and candies.
Isn't this spider rather detailed for a cheap candy? Yeah, it has the form of a bird-spider and the cross of a Black Widow, but still, I can see the effort put into it. I took immense glee in eating spider and bat and human-shaped gummies, and I'm a vegetarian. I think it's precisely that morbidity I like so much. Anyway, here is my "Halloween look".

Metal Halloween Playlist

Last time I did a Halloween playlist was two years ago - now that I'm faithfully doing Music Monday, I thought it was time for a new one. This time, to reflect my changing tastes, one full of metal songs - I tried to choose not-too-obvious ones which still fitted thematically. This would be the starting playlist of my Halloween party, if I ever hosted one.

Who Blew Her Clothing Budget Up Till Christmas? Me. I Did.

Alternative title: Glamour Shopping Days + the stuff I bought for my birthday (it was a two weeks before the shopping days.) Save for an impulsive nail polish purchase, everything was pretty much on my list, so I didn't deviate much from the plan, but I still got sad after every little text from my bank. I'm actually glad I won't have to go shopping anymore, since now I have pretty much everything I wanted. (Clothing-wise.)
